Founded in 1815, Pringle of Scotland is one of the oldest continually-operating fashion houses in the world. Beginning as a hosiery and underwear company established by Robert Pringle, the brand began producing cashmere in 1870 and introduced knitwear in 1905. Over the years, Pringle of Scotland has become world-renowned for their luxurious cashmere creations, and the label currently holds the royal warrant as producers of knitted garments. Owned by Douglas Fog and under the creative direction of Fran Stringer, the brand continues to channel the heritage of the house in modern collections, whilst also staying desirable to a contemporary audience.

With over two centuries of experience and expertise, Pringle of Scotland’s talented artisans use only the finest fibres to produce collections for men and women. From v-necks, turtlenecks and hoodies to skirts, dresses and wide-leg trousers, the label offers sumptuous wardrobe staples of the highest quality. Rich neutral tones are met with vibrant hues to provide something for any outfit and any style, while minimalist designs also meet quirky patterns to cater to any preference. Across all collections are classic silhouettes with a vintage, preppy edge, created by stripe and logo details and colour block accents for a timeless appeal.

Drawing further influence from the past, Pringle of Scotland also produces retro styles inspired by favourites from decades gone-by. Their signature geometric argyle pattern was relaunched in 2019, offering bright colour palettes and iconic design through unisex collections of archive pieces. A second collection of the same principle is also available, presenting pastel-toned v-necks which proved a hit in the 1980’s.
