Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler was established in 2002 by co-founders and co-Creative Directors Jack McCollugh and Lazaro Hernandez. The title of the brand is taken from the maiden names of the two founders’ mothers, and under this name, Proenza Schouler produces womenswear, bags, shoes and accessories.

With a focus on fine craftsmanship and attention to detail, Proenza Schouler offers an aesthetic of modern refinement. The brand uses clean lines and asymmetric details to produce contemporary, polished pieces with an opulent appeal. Though sophisticated, collections remain youthful through an urban influence and inspiration drawn from youth culture. Colour block designs meet rich prints, from relaxed t-shirts to sharp tailoring. Daily essentials are elevated, seen in rib knit maxi dresses, oversize leather totes and chunky boots, while expertly draped dresses and straight-leg leather trousers are perfect for the evening. Everyday outfits are perfectly matched with the iconic PS1 satchel from Proenza Schouler which has become a signature of the label. Available in a wide array of colours, this bag is versatile and practical whilst also remaining stylish and timeless, earning its place as a cult classic in the fashion world.

Proenza Schouler also produces a sister line, Proenza Schouler White Label, which offers slightly more laid-back essentials. A New York-casual aesthetic is produced, which remains luxurious and stylish with an element of ease. Wardrobe staples are reinvented in-line with the main line’s look of modern refinement, though pieces are more relaxed. Sumptuous knitwear, tie-dye t-shirts and cut-out detail dresses are go-to pieces for the ultimate effortlessly cool attire.

With stores in New York and Connecticut, Proenza Schouler is also available online, through the brand’s website and through Farfetch, Matches Fashion and My Theresa.
