With experience at some of the most prestigious fashion houses such as Dior, Givenchy and Marc Jacobs, Alexandre Mattiussi brought with him a wealth of knowledge when he launched his own luxury fashion line in 2011. A Parisian brand, Ami has continually been influenced by French style in both its mens and womenswear lines. The name of the brand itself is a play on the French word for ‘friend’ and the founder’s initials. The resulting aesthetic is a meeting of classic Parisian-chic style with contemporary and casual influences.

Focusing on wearable pieces, Ami provides effortless elegance that is both cool and understated. Ami is largely minimalist, designing timeless pieces which avoid trendy references and will remain current in a wardrobe for years and years. Basics such as slouchy sweatshirts and simple t-shirts are available in monochrome tones as well as easy, pastel hues. Casual knitwear and clean cotton shirts elevate a daily uniform, while sequined dresses, beautifully tailored jackets and jewel-toned satin shirts provide a hint of glamour. Bold sunglasses and patent boots finish the nonchalant French aesthetic which Ami is so well known for, while stylish and functional bags are day-to-day essentials.
Ami has stores across the world, in cities such as London, Paris, Chengdu, Beijing and Tokyo. Their collections are available online from their website, plus Matches Fashion, Farfetch and My Theresa.
