Derek Lam 10 Crosby

American fashion designer, Derek Lam, launched his eponymous womenswear label in 2003. The brand began with a focus on a luxury collection, then introduced Derek Lam 10 Crosby as a more contemporary, wearable line. The luxury Derek Lam line was discontinued in 2019, to focus solely on Derek Lam 10 Crosby. This label was acquired by Public Clothing Company Inc. in 2020, though Derek Lam still remains chief creative officer, now able to lend all efforts to the design side of the business.

Derek Lam 10 Crosby focuses on creating clothing that women want to wear. The designer is inspired by the women he sees in day-to-day life, and looks to design luxury clothing that embraces the more relaxed styles of modern fashion. The outcome is an aesthetic which feels laid back and chic, while refined and sophisticated. There is a clear femininity amongst 10 Crosby designs, seen in beautiful patterns, ruffle detailing and elegant draping. Classic silhouettes are met with urban undertones in relaxed utility trousers, oversize jackets and tie-dye prints. The Essentials collection offers everything needed to create a daily wardrobe of staples which exude luxury through their excellent cuts and polished appeal. The wider 10 Crosby collections add brights and patterns with a creative flair for design, while remaining wearable and timeless pieces that give a modern yet classic feel.

Designs from Derek Lam 10 Crosby can be found on the brand’s online store, as well as through Net-a-Porter, Farfetch and Yoox
