Diane von Fürstenberg

Diane von Fürstenberg founded her eponymous womens fashion brand in 1972. The Diane von Fürstenberg, or DVF, brand became most well known for its iconic wrap dress launched in 1974. This design was hugely popular- selling 25,000 dresses a week, DVF was propelled into global fame and success. The dress could be worn from the office to the bar, and worn in many ways, whether closed and covered or loose and flowing. The success of the brand has continued, and Diane von Fürstenberg herself has become well-known for her philanthropy as well as her beautiful designs. Today, Nathan Jenden is Chief Creative Officer of DVF

The Diane von Fürstenberg aesthetic is bright and feminine, with a ‘70’s bohemian glamour influence. Use of vivid colour and joyful prints are signature across collections. Their classic silhouettes are created with women in mind, utilising the iconic wrap dress style in mini, midi and maxi lengths. Puff sleeves and ruffle details add a romantic element which exudes elegance. Though best-known for their glamorous dresses, DVF offers sleek separates such as printed flare trousers and retro-inspired jumpsuits. Shirts and skirts see the classic DVF use of colour and print, in paisley patterns and geometric styles. Whether in floor-length gowns or satin slip dresses, Diane von Fürstenberg pieces are designed to provide the wearer with unrivalled confidence.

Diane von Fürstenberg collections can be found through their online store, and through Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and My Theresa.
