Dsquared²

Twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten founded Dsquared² in 1995. The duo were born in Canada, though launched their brand in Milan, earning the slogan ‘Born in Canada, made in Italy’, which is featured throughout some of the brand’s designs. The label began as a men’s collection of premium denim, quickly expanding to encompass ready-to-wear for men and women, and gaining popularity amongst celebrities such as Madonna and Rihanna.

Now producing womenswear, menswear, bags, shoes, accessories and a childrens collection, Dsquared² has a distinctive and contemporary style. The brand blends contrasting aesthetics to produce an ‘alternative luxury’, merging masculine features with female elements, and mixing relaxed looks with extravagance. Playful Canadian iconography can be found throughout collections, as can bold branding of the Dsquared² name. Known originally for their distressed, edgy denim, Dsquared² is now also vastly popular for their printed tees, easy sweatshirts and fashionable caps. Their overall style is contemporary and high-fashion with a strong streetwear influence. Day-to-day items give a laid-back appeal with an urban edge, while slick evening wear highlights refined and powerful styles. Sharp suits for men and women are luxurious and exquisite, and dresses are daring and full of attitude. Dsquared² is consistently modern, reimagining luxurious essentials and producing occasionwear which is adventurous and exciting.

Dsquared² boutiques are found throughout the world, with flagship stores in locations such as London, Milan, Mykonos, Dubai and Tokyo. Their designs can also be accessed online, through the label’s own site, as well as through Flannels, Farfetch and Matches Fashion.
