Escada was founded in 1978 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley, beginning with a knitwear collection which soon expanded into lines of womenswear with the glamorous aesthetic that the brand has become known for across the world. Today, Escada is owned by Regent, L.P., and is headquartered in Munich, Germany. The Creative Director of Escada is British designer, Emma Cook.
Now producing women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, accessories, fragrance and jewellery, Escada takes a lifestyle approach to design, looking to equip women with everything they need in their wardrobes and for every occasion.
