Fendi

Fendi is an Italian luxury fashion house, founded by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. Beginning their journey with fur, fur accessories and leather goods, Fendi began collaborating with Karl Lagerfeld in 1965. Lagerfeld revolutionised the brand- he created the iconic ‘double F’ logo, which stood for ‘fun furs’. Under his direction, Fendi was ready to launch their ready-to-wear collection in the 1970’s, propelling the brand to notoriety. The Fendi family has remained at the heart of the business, playing a central role in the design process consistently, to preserve the brand’s authentic Italian and family-run identity.

Fendi is now owned by LVMH, with Kim Jones as Creative Director, working closely with Silvia Venturini Fendi, granddaughter of the founders. Fendi offers menswear, womenswear, accessories, bags, and children’s clothing.

Dedicated to the highest level of Italian craftsmanship, Fendi creates clothing and accessories which uphold the brand’s reputation for luxury. Their style is a blend of modern and quirky elements, with classic and chic design that Fendi has been known for. Colour and embellishment, as well as the iconic FF monogram print, are additions to unique and alluring silhouettes. Bold and playful pieces can be found, though the neutral tones of the early Fendi years are still a firm part of the brand’s identity.

Cult classics such as the Baguette bag and the Peekaboo bag, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, are timeless. Their style is often reimagined with new colours and prints, though their staying power is testament to their stunning design and functionality.

Fendi has many stores around the world, as well as their online store. Their designs also can be found through Selfridges, Harrods, Farfetch and Net-a-Porter.
