Franck Sorbier is a French fashion designer who founded his eponymous fashion house in 1987. Having previously worked for the likes of Thierry Mugler, Franck Sorbier presented his first collection in 1987. With a love for design from an early age, Sorbier designs are innovative and artful. This has been recognised throughout his career, earning a Master of Art label from the French Ministry for Culture, as well as being awarded Haute Couture status in 2005.
With a commitment to simultaneously honouring traditional techniques and exploring new ones, Franck Sorbier produces one-of-a-kind designs which continue to excite. Haute Couture collections are showcased twice a year, and each collection provides intricate, unique and impressive garments, designed and created with expert know-how. A 2020 collection from Franck Sorbier drew inspiration from Mexican actress María Félix, a star of Latin American cinema. The show saw Mediterranean-inspired designs, with flowing skirts and puffed shirts. With vintage-inspired embroidery and sumptuous ribbons flowing from dresses, a passionate spirit was produced throughout collections. The show featured models on horses, demonstrating the artistic and dramatic nature of Haute Couture.
