Believing in ‘honest luxury’, Gabriela Hearst creates clothes of the finest quality, designed to be worn for a lifetime. Gabriela Hearst is innovative in their approach to materials. Using an anti-radiation fabric which blocks radiation from mobile phones in jacket pocket linings demonstrates their forward-thinking. In line with their progressive outlook, they have also used aloe-treated linen in certain pieces, which is sustainable and allows the fabric to moisturise the skin. The wool used by Gabriela Hearst comes from her family’s sheep farm in Uruguay, and the brand is using Tipa, a compostable alternative to plastic, in all their packaging. Her highly sought-after ‘Nina’ bag, as well as other bags by Gabriela Hearst are made-to-order, to maintain the brand’s eco-conscious principles. With the environment in mind every step of the way in the design and manufacturing process, Gabriela Hearst brings a refreshing and responsible outlook to the fashion world, and paves the way for sustainability as a priority in the industry.

Gabriela Hearst designs are inspired by her upbringing on a ranch in Uruguay, and her current New York City life. The collections are full of gorgeous earthy tones, as well as colourful pieces, enticing patterns and bright tie-dye. Beautiful gowns and impressive tailoring represent the intended timelessness of the garments.

With stores in London and New York, Gabriela Hearst can be purchased online through their own store, as well as through Harrods, Selfridges and Net-a-Porter
