Golden Goose

Founded in 2000 by husband and wife Alessandro Gallo and Francesca Rinaldo, Golden Goose produces contemporary, luxury fashion for men and women. The duo take inspiration from their hometown of Venice, influenced by street art, graffiti and vintage shopping in the city. The brand is owned by Permira Funds and looks to continually fuse fashion with art.

Golden Goose is most well known for their range of irreverent sneakers, taking classic styles and reinventing them with playful details. Accents such as leopard print patches, sequinned panels and the instantly-recognisable star motif are signature to the brand and its lighthearted nature. The brand is also known for their pre-distressed designs, creating a well-loved and well-worn look to many styles, with a commitment to promote the ‘perfectly imperfect’. Golden Goose also offers sneakers with a ‘box-fresh’ appeal, as well as boots and shoes which continue the contemporary aesthetic of the label.

Ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women from Golden Goose channel the same laid-back spirit as their footwear collections. An effortlessly cool aesthetic is produced, in loose silhouettes and graphic prints. There is a clear athletic and all-American influence in designs, and the co-founders see their clothing collections as documentation of their travels, drawing inspiration from afar. Distressed denim, slogan sweaters and classic leather jackets feature artistic appliqués, bold colours and metallic accents for the ultimate off-duty look.

Golden Goose has 100 stores found throughout the world and their collections can be accessed online through the label’s site, and through Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and Farfetch.
