Kwaidan Editions

Fashion designers and husband and wife Léa Dickely and Hung La founded Kwaidan Editions in 2016. The label’s name comes from the 1965 film ‘Kwaidan’ by Masaki Kobayashi, which translates to ‘strange stories’ in Japanese.

The London-based womenswear brand produces wearable yet unique collections, known for their juxtaposition of materials, style and references. The masculine is mixed with the feminine while subtle elements are merged with an energetic edge. Tailored trousers and thick-knit dresses are contrasted against vinyl separates and tie-dye t-shirts. Kwaidan Editions adds a subversive character to a streamlined aesthetic, resulting in intriguing and high-fashion pieces for the everyday. In between sleek blazers and structured trousers are neon palettes, retro patterns and experimental shapes. Kwaidan Editions is contemporary and contradictory, bringing a refreshing excitement to wardrobe staples.
