Loro Piana

Loro Piana was founded by Pietro Loro Piana in 1924 in Northern Italy. Now recognised as the most premium producer of high end cashmere and wool products, the family-run business began by selling fabrics. The 1940’s saw Loro Piana’s reputation solidify as suppliers of fabric for the haute couture industry to many countries across the globe. Their continuing success meant that by the 1970’s, the family decided it was time for them to expand into the luxury goods arena themselves. Today, Loro Piana produces ready-to-wear for men, women and children, as well as shoes, accessories and leather goods. Loro Piana still produces fabric to supply to other brands, including the haute couture industry, though this is no longer the sole role of the company. Loro Piana is now a part of the LVMH group, and Fabio d’Angelantonio is the Creative Director.

Celebrated for their unparalleled quality of materials, Loro Piana is uncompromising in this area. Only the finest and rarest materials in the world, such as cashmere from baby goats and lotus flower fibre from Myanmar, are used. From sumptuous wool from Australia and cashmere from the vicuña in the Andes, the brand also focuses on sustainability, pulling the vicuña from near extinction with their progressive techniques. These opulent fabrics are then expertly crafted in Italy using distinguished and traditional techniques in combination with the highest standards of modern technology, to create the most esteemed quality fabrics and goods.

‘To wear Loro Piana is to know pure, unadulterated luxury’.

These gorgeous textiles and time-honoured skills culminate in ready-to-wear of the finest wardrobe essentials, including timeless cashmere roll necks, casual hoodies, belted coats and sleek separates. Sophistication is written into the simple and refined styles of Loro Piana.
