Monse offers women’s ready-to-wear, bags and accessories. The co-founders and designers draw inspiration from menswear and classic tailoring, resulting in their distinctive deconstructed style with a hint of androgyny. Basic shapes and staple pieces are given an interesting edge, through unique cuts and details. With this, elevated essentials are produced, from blazers to trousers to dresses. Offbeat silhouettes are created to give a high-fashion appeal to everyday attire through asymmetric shapes, cut-out details and patchwork fabrics. Cascading hems, mixed materials and unexpected prints are found throughout collections, producing intriguing and refined pieces which exude a timeless quality. Denim and twill are paired to offer a twist on the classic trench coat, while striped knitwear features dramatic cut-outs. Blazers are given tulle detailing and knit dresses come in one-shoulder silhouettes.
With a simple colour palette and minimal detailing, Monse adds all intrigue through their considered shapes and cuts which keep the brand forward-thinking and certainly wearable for years to come. Their designs can be found in department stores throughout the world, and online through the Monse website, as well as through Net-a-Porter, Farfetch and My Theresa.
