Moynat

Moynat is a luxury leather goods company founded in 1849 by trunk makers Octavie and François Coulembier. Pauline Moynat soon joined the label, bringing a femininity to the male-dominated world of truck-making, leading to consistently forward-thinking and innovative designs over the years. As one of the earliest luxury leather goods manufacturers, Moynat became well known for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. With the rise of automobiles, the brand offered colours to match cars and shapes which fit perfectly in the trunk of an automobile. Their designs were modern and prestigious, and remain so to this day.

The brand is currently owned by Groupe Arnault, with Nicholas Knightly as Creative Director.

Honouring the extraordinary heritage of Moynat, each design from the brand is still crafted in France by one single artisan who sees production through from start to finish. This ensures the highest quality outcome and a true reflection of luxury. Age-honoured techniques used in the creation of trunks are today applied to modern and sophisticated bags for women, from handbags and totes to mini-bags and small leather goods. Timeless designs are offered in a variety of colours, from neutrals to brights, and are often inspired by decades gone-by. Many designs, such as the signature Flori bag, feature removable straps- a nod to Pauline Moynat who designed bags with the same feature. With such classic and elegant designs, Moynat pieces are meticulously crafted and designed to be worn for a lifetime.

Moynat stores are found across the world, in cities such as Paris, London, Dubai and Seoul. Their collections can also be accessed online, through the brand’s website.
