Nanushka

Sandra Sandor founded Nanushka in 2006, deriving the brand’s name from her nickname as a child. The label was joined by Sandor’s partner, Peter Baldaszti in 2016, who is now co-owner and CEO of Nanushka. With a vision to create a versatile wardrobe for the modern man and woman, Nanushka produces effortless designs which Sandor hopes to produce ‘a new informal form of beauty’ from. Each collection is designed in Budapest, inspired by the designer’s travels and her exposure to different cultures throughout her lifetime.

Nanushka has a clear and distinctive style centring around a laid-back yet elegant aesthetic, which is clear throughout womenswear, menswear, bags, shoes and accessories. Womenswear embodies modern femininity, offering sleek pieces which can be taken from day to night and add ease to everyday dressing. These wardrobe staples will be turned to again and again, made even more likely by the use of neutrals and earth tones throughout collections. Nanushka is known for their vegan leather separates which exude nonchalant refinement, while signature wrap dresses are contemporary and alluring. Silk cami-tops, tailored blazers and cut-out detail shirt dresses are easy yet exceptionally stylish. Essentials are reimagined with a fresh outlook, designed to work perfectly together and separately.

Menswear by Nanushka follows the same modern and versatile aesthetic, resulting in relaxed silhouettes and muted colour palettes. Vintage-inspired prints feature across shorts, shirts and trousers, reimagining the styles of the 1970’s. Pinstripe blazers, leather shirts and tailored trousers prove wardrobe essentials, paired perfectly with statement sunglasses for a high-fashion edge.

Nunushaka has flagship concept stores in Budapest, Hungary and London. Their collections can also be found online through the brand’s website, and through Matches Fashion, Net-a-Porter and Farfetch.
