Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci was founded in Paris in 1932 by Maria ‘Nina’ Ricci and her son, Robert. The brand was soon known for their feminine and romantic creations, of which Nina would design while Robert managed the business side of the label. In 1941, the company set up a perfume division, and by 1946 they had created their first fragrance, titled Coeur Joie. Nina Ricci is still adored for their perfumes, with L’Air du Temps remaining a favourite for many for over 70 years, and Nina a modern classic.

Today, Nina Ricci continues the distinctive feminine aesthetic which the house has always embodied. The brand has been owned by Puig since 1998, and is under the creative direction of designers Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh.

With a refined and polished style, Nina Ricci collections feel timeless yet fresh. The heritage of the house is considered, translating in couture-like elements embedded into everyday designs. Each piece offers undoubtable elegance, through sophisticated trench coats, satin shirts and beautifully draped dresses. Exceptional tailoring produces sleek outerwear and sculpted silhouettes, while structured bags and classic ankle boots appear effortless season upon season. Floaty fabrics are cut to enhance the figure- a key Nina Ricci trait since the brand’s beginnings. Subtle details and sharp lines produce understated yet romantic garments which are a modern take on the exquisite designs that Nina Ricci has always been known for.

With three boutiques across Paris, Nina Ricci designs can be accessed online through Farfetch
