Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli launched his namesake brand in 1970 with an innovative and revolutionary printed leather collection. Gaining the attention of the likes of Hermès and Pierre Cardin, the brand was soon presented in Paris and the first Roberto Cavalli store opened in Saint-Tropez in 1972. Known for their exuberant aesthetic, Roberto Cavalli mixes exotic prints and patterns to create high octane looks. Denim was reintroduced as a luxury item by Roberto Cavalli, incorporating patchworks, gold stitching and distressed looks to make the brand’s jeans a highly covetable piece.

Over the years, the brand has expanded to encompass clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children, as well as fragrances and homeware. Since 2019, the label has been owned by Vision Investment Co. LLC, and Fausto Puglisi became Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli in 2020.

With a maximalist and glamorous aesthetic, flamboyant designs are signature to Roberto Cavalli. Animal prints are seen across dresses, shoes and separates, clashed experty for a highly distinctive outcome. For women, Roberto Cavalli offers decadent and sultry designs, seen in both fluid silhouettes and body hugging shapes. Silk maxi dresses in red and white leopard print are met with bodycon knit dresses with sheer panelling for the perfect statement evening attire. At the same time, crystal embellished jeans, patchwork palazzo trousers and striking fur jackets add drama and glamour to the everyday. In menswear, the classic Roberto Cavalli aesthetic is continued, through extravagant printed shirts and monogrammed tailored trousers to chunky leather sneakers. For highly decorative, head-turning designs, Roberto Cavalli has been the go-to choice for decades.

With stores across the world, from London to Milan to New Delhi, Roberto Cavalli collections can also be found online, through the label’s website, as well as through Harrods and Farfetch.
