Roksanda

Roksanda Ilinčić founded her eponymous womenswear label in 2005, which draws inspiration from architecture and modern art. The Serbian designer is based in London and has soon become a well-known and highly coveted name in the fashion world, having dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga and Anne Hathaway.

With a clean-lined, structured aesthetic, Roksanda is best known for their bold use of colour and dramatic proportions. Ladylike silhouettes are modernised through voluminous elements, keeping designs feminine yet distinctly contemporary. Sculptural shapes are produced through dramatic sleeves, beautiful ruching and exceptional draping, resulting in flowing silk gowns, puff-sleeve dresses and shoulder pad blazers. Rich jewel tones and paint-box brights are colour-blocked expertly to create unexpected colourways which feel unique and exciting, met with luxurious fabrics which exude opulence. This combination of interesting shapes and bold colour palettes has become signature to Roksanda, and although this boldness is distinctive, their designs are still wearable and refined. From glamorous cocktail dresses and red-carpet-ready eveningwear to sleek separates and modern knitwear essentials, Roksanda is consistently forward thinking and elegant.

Roksanda has a store in London, and the brand’s collections can also be found online through the label’s own website, as well as through Harrods, Matches Fashion and My Theresa
