The Row

The Row was founded in 2006 by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, beginning when Ashley tasked herself with creating the perfect t-shirt. Designing a shape which would fit and flatter all body types, the sisters soon followed this by creating a 7 piece collection which was bought instantly by Barneys New York. The co-founders and co-designers prefer to distance their celebrity names from the brand, aiming instead to allow their clothing to take the limelight and speak for itself. The sisters did not take any interviews about their luxury clothing brand until three years after its creation, to ensure that their clothing was getting attention only for the right reasons.

Named after the iconic Savile Row in London, The Row began in womenswear, and introduced menswear also in 2011. The label now emcompasses ready-to-wear, shoes, bags and accessories for both men and women. Since its conception, The Row has been celebrated for its high quality designs and impeccable cuts. Fine fabrics are met with precise tailoring- akin to the name of the brand- to create elevated essentials steeped in luxury. The Row embodies a timeless aesthetic through the use of clean, understated shapes to create an air of effortless elegance. Silk dresses, sharply tailored trousers and wool blazers are wardrobe staples, crafted exceptionally with wearability and versatility in mind. Cashmere knits, cotton t-shirts and straight leg jeans are perfectly finished with one of The Row’s simple tote or shoulder bags and a pair of chunky Chelsea boots.
