Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren met during their studies at Arnhem Academy of Art and Design and began working together after their graduation in 1992. The duo had a shared love for conceptual designs, and co-founded their namesake label in 1993 with a focus on the avant-garde. Since then, Viktor & Rolf has been known for its fusion of fashion and art, challenging perceptions of design and creating unconventional collections. The brand has produced both haute couture and ready-to-wear over the years, known for playful accents, extravagant silhouettes and an exciting use of materials. Today, the label produces menswear, womenswear and haute couture, as well as a very popular fragrance line. Viktor & Rolf is part of the OTB Group.
Haute couture from Viktor & Rolf is known for its fantastical nature, creating glamorous and unexpected designs which speak of fairytales and theatre. Merging dramatic materials, silhouettes and detailing, Viktor & Rolf couture is spectacular and showstopping. The same unconventional approach is taken with regards to ready-to-wear collections, creating playful pieces with an irreverent edge. Signature use of tulle is seen throughout womenswear, resulting in tiered maxi skirts, tulle-cuffed sleeves and unique shapes, met with bright colour palettes and a mixture of textures. Romantic and striking dresses are offered, while bold tees with fun motifs are found throughout menswear and womenswear.
Fragrances from Viktor & Rolf have become bestsellers across the world, best known for favourites such as Flowerbomb and Spicebomb.
Ready-to-wear collections from Viktor & Rolf are available from the brand’s online store, while fragrances from the label are widely accessible online, via stockists such as Harrods, John Lewis and Boots.
