Bouchra Jarrar

French fashion designer Bouchra Jarrar had begun her career working with some huge and iconic names in the fashion world, including Christian Lacroix and Jean Paul Gaultier. With years of experience at high-fashion houses, Jarrar founded her eponymous fashion line in 2010.

Producing Haute couture and ready-to-wear, the Bouchra Jarrar style was distinctively minimalist and Parisian. Precise and elegant, the brand used a mix of materials and daring details which culminated in a fashionable, yet laid-back aesthetic. Bouchra Jarrar was known for their chic and unique style.

In 2016, Bouchra Jarrar was appointed Artistic Director of Lanvin. With this, Jarrar decided to close her fashion line to focus solely on her new role.

However, the revival of the Bouchra Jarrar brand was witnessed in 2020 with the reintroduction of their Haute couture line. The first collection was named EDITION N°1, and saw the classic minimalist style that the brand had been known for. With clean lines and timeless silhouettes, effortless luxury is presented. Subtle designs are in-keeping with the wider Bouchra Jarrar style, while wearable elegance is presented in backless dresses, classic smoking suits and crisp white shirts. Jarrar describes that she wishes her couture to reflect what real women wear, and with sharply tailored trousers and beautiful accessories, the collections certainly reflect the dream daily uniform for many.

Bouchra Jarrar is a Paris Couture permanent member and presents seasonal Haute couture collections.
